Exploration data created from work carried out by ORC and compiled with U.S. Bureau of Mines and USGS data demonstrates the existence of heavy mineral deposits incorporating a multiple suite of minerals including chromite, garnet, zircon, ilmenite, magnetite, kyanite and stauorlite in several ancient mineral sands deposits.

Listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in November 2006, Industrial Minerals has been established primarily for the purpose of developing the Southern Oregon Mineral Sands Project. The company has the key components of experienced management, demonstrated market, resource profile, economics, logistics and capital necessary for the successful development of the project.

All aspects of the processing of the extracted material will be undertaken on a company owned property located at Coos Bay which is within a relatively short distance from the mine site/s. The main plant to be constructed on this property is designed to be highly efficient and scaleable with the ability to process from 500,000 to 1,200,000 tpa of material and produce a multiple suite of valuable heavy minerals.

The company has worked closely with the regional development agency and the County personnel who are responsible for local permitting relating to operational activities of the company. ORC has been established in the area since 1989 when the first stage exploration was undertaken. Management has been persistent and diligent in pursuing their plan of creating a win-win situation for the inhabitants of the geographic area where the project will operate.
